Sure Gotta Get You Something Poem by Ramona Thompson

Sure Gotta Get You Something

Rewrite of the Kiss song, Sure Know Something. This is one for all you late holiday shoppers! Enjoy!

In this last store

I've been up and down

Hell, I've been all around

Now I find myself

Mystified

Almost terrified

Cause it's almost Christmas

And it just ain't right

I got for you

No gift I can name

I feel as if I'm on my own

All alone

These store lights

Got me hypnotized

Yeah, by all these holiday songs

I am paralyzed

Cause it just ain't right

I still got nothing

Oh late shopping to blame!

Chorus

Guess I've been

Too much of a holiday deal seeker

A gambler

Such a damn fool

And I sure know

I gotta get you something

Gotta get you something

If only I could find for you

One of those things you think is

So cool

And I sure know I gotta get you something

Gotta get you something

Cause no one can make me feel

As guilty as you do

And I sure know I gotta get you something

Aha

The mall closes in another 15

OMG!

Feels like a bad dream

I am by this deadline mesmerized

I feel so scared inside

It breaks my heart

I might leave you

In giftless pain

Won't give up yet

Oh no

Don't count me out

I may be blurry eyed

But I won't leave here

Unsatisfied

Cause I vow I will make this right

Won't be takin' no guilty holiday blame

No, no guilty holiday blame

Chorus 2X
