Surge Forward, Move On Poem by Paul Sebastian

Surge Forward, Move On

Weather change
Seasons come and go
Friends are strange
Like a whirlwind blow
Sweeps one high up
Twists and turns round
Emotions swell up
Turns you upside down
Blind, illusions work up
Reality comes to astound
Heart in pieces torn up
Mind and soul went aground
Life hurls and tosses you up
Crashes boat home bound

Friends change
Promises break
Trust staged
Commitment staked
For selfish sake
Love fantasied, faked

Directions diverge
Journey's long
Take right path, spirit urge
Surge forward, move on

Despite all the storms in life, the vicissitudes of living (like the weather) can be calmed and stilled when received in just the right way. Another wonderful poem.

Thank you MJ for your affirmation. Well said. It is how we respond to life rather than reacting to life's circumstances.
