Surrounding Loneliness Poem by RoseAnn V. Shawiak

Surrounding Loneliness

Leaves being blown about, dried, crumpled, brown, like my mind - dead to the world.
Stranded in a mire of surrounding loneliness, keeping me from stepping into the limelight of life.
Sifting through sands that churn and tumble upon the sand of my beyond.
No one can come close, I keep them from me by writing and writing while listening to classical music and hiding deep within the caverns and canyons of my subconscious mind.
Loving everyone from a distance, I continue to write and create myself with every poem that seeps from the nib of a pen.
