Take Me Away
Take me away
from the environs
where I now stay
like in a desert
on an isolated island
far from the touch of neighbours
six feet away
Under the taps
washing hands and face.
Take me through the forests
burning and pull me
as fast as you can
let the fires scald my wings
or take a chance
how the blazes over looked
the innocent me
Just take me away
to the far fold distant horizons
where in the open battlefields of God
I play
unknown even to Almighty
who rules beyond eternity
my infinity
Let him embalm me
if he does so wish
fry me like a fish
butcher me like a lamb
take the toll of sacrifice
as much as he can
after all I too am human
never to live till time's sunset
nor the twilight before the eerie night
Come let's go out and now play
Corona may never run away
till another day
if not today
some day
and
a newer generation will be born
all know COVID 19 will also be buried
it has also not to all times' been married
nor born for ever
as one may say
Fly into the newer environs we may
but as for now
just take me away
today
now or any day
Time evades none
Let him embalm me if he does so wish fry me like a fish butcher me like a lamb take the toll of sacrifice as much as he can after all I too am human never to live till time's sunset nor the twilight before the eerie night...///
