Take Me Home Again Poem by David Harris

Take Me Home Again

Take me home again
where the soft breezes blow,
where the flower gardens
stand full of colours row by row.
Where the dark rich soil
makes everything planted in it grow.

Take me home again;
to the place where my dreams began,
where the sun shines the year around
and the air is fresh and fragrant.
Where every face wears a smile
and peace reins supreme there.

Take me home again
when this crazy war is over
so I can begin to dream again.
Where I can rest my head and forget
how cruel this world can be.
Let me live again in peace and harmony.
