Tanka- Salvation
down the country side
in the dark and silent night
a saint walks alone
meditating and praying
to release soul from body
In this neck of the woods, we do not witness such a ceremony. How I wish that we did! In my heart, I believe that it would improve the quality of our lives. Esteemed Poet Nehal, I Thank You for your cultured gift!
Perfect tanka.. They wander to achieve salvation which remains elusive.
