★ Tasting the Tea in East Kiosk (Seven Lü)
☆ Poetry by Bao Junhui (, Tang Dynasty, China)
☆ Translation by Luo Zhihai (1954-, China)
Out the curtain, toward the dawn sun, free
In East Kiosk, searching the surrounding scenery and tasting the tea
Overlooking the city in the mountain scene
Lower my head to hear the sound of the chord in water
The pool water through the deep and dense bamboo grove, new and green leaves
Fragrant hibiscus blossoms red near the low eaves
Sitting for a long time and sustaining my interest
Pity that the cattail leaf fan fanned breeze
Note: Bao Junhui, female poet in the middle or late Tang Dynasty.
