Non pas a cause des victoires
Je chante,
n'ayant aucune,
mais pour le soleil commun,
la brise,
la largesse du printemps.
Non pas pour la victoire
mais pour le travail du jour que j'ai fait
aussi bien que je le pouvais;
non pas pour un siege sur l'estrade
mais a la table commune.

Real virtues of everyday life matters a lot. This poem is excellently penned. Charles Reznikoff has expressed the view in this poem. Not for the victory but for the work of the day that was done earlier. On the platform of common table thoughts should be shared. An amazing poem is very brilliantly penned.10
