Tears Of Misplaced Joy Poem by Solomon Ramakgwa

Tears Of Misplaced Joy

I really don't want to cry,
But it is not me who is crying.
I really want to be strong,
But my heart is fragile.
I miss you for the first time,
Missing the sound of your voice.
I wish my tears right now were tears of joy,
But I don't really remember where they go.
I thought my first tears would be tears of joy,
But now, I don't even know you.
Another distraction came from your side,
Then you decided to keep quiet.
You know...
How am I going to fight for you?
I don't want to lose you,
But I can't let my heart just walk away.
