Tell Wes They're Not Dead

Someone TOLD Wes the limerick was dead,
and a great many tears he then shed.
Belle then proved that was wrong,
so he sang her a song,
and 'Oh, thank you! I love you! ' he said.

POET'S NOTES ABOUT THE POEM
Wes Vogler loves limericks. Belle Wassermeister recently posted 50 Irish limericks, all dedicated to him. I don't know how many of them he ever saw or commented on. After Wes moved to AllPoetry, Belle deleted ALL FIFTY of those limericks!
