Temporarily Upset Poem by Lawrence S. Pertillar

Temporarily Upset

Those exposed to have imposed misdeeds.
With a doing to perform,
Deliberate acts of corruption and treason.
Known and revealed after facts produced.
Makes little to no difference at all,
To the ones with minds consciously confined...
To surface interactions and images made.
And have been mentally convinced,
With a permanence...
That their delusions to protect them.
And defend.
Against rumors of truth beginning to threaten.
May temporarily upset their way of life.
But absolutely nothing,
Nothing will stop or get in their way...
Of their fantasized reality to prevent.
Or consent to a truth few have met to accept.
To know the effectiveness of it.
Since many will admit,
Openly unashamed.
That they had never been introduced to truth.
And can not comprehend or understand,
Why so much talk is about truth.
As if it is something everyone should know.
