Tenacity Of The Sun Poem by RoseAnn V. Shawiak

Imaginatively sitting on a bench in the shade of a desert
tree, seeing the sun shining all around this small area
and smiling at it's tenacity.

Sun doing its best to penetrate the shade that it made,
not realizing that fact, makes me smile interiorly, quiet,
peaceful, serene and tranquil.

All meanings of each word soothing this heart, mind and in-
tellect in depths of a deep and underlying sadness, sorrow
and abandonment in this life.

One that's being lived in so much hardship, sacrifice and
turmoil, most of it being caused by other people thinking
they know what's best for everyone else.

Yet, they cannot even control their own lives, wondering
why that is always the way of being alive and human fail-
ure being at the helm.
