Tender Evening Desires - Poem by Michael P. McParland
I just spent a bit of time drifting my dear
and I didn't realize till now just how long it had been.
I am sorry sweet one for not writing sooner
but I was also dreaming of you as I
had my eyes closed and I shut myself off
to the world just a bit to in peace dream of you
and be able to feel all of your warmth and love
and presence without even the noise of the cats
or my parents moving about.
I dreamed of you and sent all of my love and warmth
with great big kisses and hugs as well.
As I sit here now shaking off the haziness of rest
that always sticks with you I am as always
filled with feelings for you of deep love and tenderness.
A joy and pride in my heart that can only
be felt for those few in this life we so truly love
and usually those people are family
and other souls we have known since the beginning of time.
I love you sweet Kira and just want to hold you
and share sweet tender kisses of deep and complete passion.
So as I have woken an am getting ready to grab my dinner
I'm just filled with the tender desire to
be with you and holding each other as we spend
such wonderful and happy time as this night goes by.
I long to be with you giving you kisses
and deep reassurances that I will always be with you.
You are my Angel and to ever lose you would
be hell and heart break in the most devastating way
because my heart and soul are eternally yours.
I cherish you deeply and want to give you my whole life
by choice freely spending it all together my sweet one.
I love you my darling and am filled with such tender longing
and want you to know I am with you holding you closely.
