Terror At Night Poem by LeeAnn Azzopardi

Terror At Night

Rating: 5.0

She cries at night
But she doesn't tell me why
Maybe it was something
In the distant past
Or the fear of the future
I try to calm her down
Though she falls asleep around midnight
The silence frighens me
In what she is thinking

Sadness, perhaps grief, will often find an escape. Perhaps we can mask it during waking hours, but.... ....Amazing verse, LeeAnn.

This is sad and haunting, to be wondering why someone cries at night. Great work!
