Testimonies Are Treasures

Testimonies are great treasures
For they tell of forgiveness tales
How lives have been changed miraculously
After following many rabbit trails
And God getting all the glory
For the great things He hath done
Drawing lost men unto Himself
They then finding Christ Jesus as Son

I love the transformation
Of lives that have been rearranged
How sadness is turned into gladness
Just to see how much they've changed
Then the praises freely flowing
Now from lips that once used curse
A new respect for the Word of God
Citing even chapter and verse

Those tales of testimonies
They bring the truth on home
That though we may feel sad at times
That we are never alone
There's a God who walks beside us
Every footstep of our way
Excitingly with an expectant heart
That we'll turn to Him some day

Don't remain a stranger
And stand outside the fold
There's a warmth in knowing Jesus
He's the greatest story told
His story purely non fiction
Now that's an important fact
