THANK YOU 2015,
WELCOME 2016
By Paul Sebastian
Like an impatient teen girl
You hurried to pass me
Year-marking, events trail
Leaving nostalgic memories
You tagged me with friends
Lingering some stay, some went cold
Special ones remain as God-sent
Some brought lessons, made me bold
Thank you, God, for life's abundance
Thank you, for like an oak, I‘ve not grown old
Thank you, for adding the rainbow's radiance
Thank you, for filling my pot with riches of gold
Thank you for growing me with wisdom
Through varied life's experiences
Walking life's paths; why, I cannot fathom
Enduring pains, life's mystic nuances
Time has made me soberer
More tolerant, more forgiving
Grown brighter by life's dimmer
Leap like a deer, tirelessly running
I thank God Almighty for His grace
I thank God for His hand upon me
I thank Lord for His loving embrace
I make life's offerings, for His glory
Welcome another year of rejoicing
Fill me to brim again with your blessing
As much required, I'd be giving
To make my one life, worthwhile living
