Thankful For The Ability To Read Poem by Jim Yerman

May we be blessed to acknowledge all the wonders in our life
that have, for us, thus far accrued…
and to begin each day with a word of thanks…
and thoughts of gratitude.

Today I'm thankful for the ability to read…
It allows us to discover truths…
It allows our imaginations to be freed…

and though we may not agree with every word we read
and may not choose to heed them…
we should rejoice in being blessed
with our ability to read them.
