Thankful For Three Things Poem by Walterrean Salley

In relation to Thanksgiving,
Three things come to mind;
Each, unique in its own way,
Is one of a kind.

The blessedness of “family”
Is a gift from above,
With years of togetherness
In unity and love.

The “life” that I am given
To enjoy and to share
With family, and friends,
And folks everywhere.

And then, the true “friends”
That make life sublime,
With bonafide friendship,
And bonafide time.

There are many things
I admire and adore,
But these three things,
I am truly grateful for.
