The sun I saw when I took birth—
Not that one now hanging over my head,
That sun I wanted to see shining again,
That sun dawned the horizon and
Rocked me in the cradle,
In that scolding sun
Rain lost its mist, no tremulous dew-drops
Tottered on the leaves,
No tree-roots could penetrate the rocky earth,
In that tumult
My dispensed hapless thoughts were
In agonies,
In resentment,
Yet I wanted to touch and feel
That yonder blue in the glowing skyline again!
