Tiny, so very small
I held you in the palm of my hand
Marveling at your size
Amazed that you would grow
A little earth then in you go
I covered you with more, patted you in so tenderly
I watched as you sprouted just a little above the soil
A peek a boo from me to you
Then what seemed to be only days
You grew to an inch
I placed you next to the warmest pane
And now you are almost doubled in size
Perhaps you will leave this little shelf
And go out into the big yard out back
I have it all ready for your arrival
Tilled and turned
Cleared of rocks
And added some extra just for you
