The Best Way Poem by Jim Yerman

The Best Way

Rating: 5.0

I love watching rainbows appear
in the mist of a waterfall.
I love a mountain
blanketed in snow.
I love standing in the midst of a field
where thousands of sunflowers grow.

I love how, at sunrise and sunset,
the color of clouds can enthrall.
I love how stars and fireflies twinkle.
I love how leaves change their colors in Fall.

But there is something about sunsets and flowers...
Something rainbows and fireflies lack...
For no matter how much I love them...
They cannot, in this life, love me back.

I will continue to admire their beauty
But, from them, this lesson I've learned
The best way to enjoy the beauty around me...
Is to love...and be loved in return.

The best way to enjoy the beauty around me... is to have someone in your life to share it with. Well done Jim.
