The Blue Coffee Poem by Marieta Maglas

The Blue Coffee

Rating: 5.0

Words are the only difference between
this blue happiness and suffering.
It is like a star splitting apart
at the end of infinity. We touch each other.
our arms are outstretched;
tears are not strong within.
Our actions and time pass.

Chandeliers illuminate the table and
our search for long lost paradise Eden.
The first night faded from our memories.
Enter memory for reflection.

I recall the stars and the moon
in the dark universe quivering.
I miss our awakening and our love.
As if nothing happened, we continue with our lives.
We drank it, black and bitter,
in the same old cafe that is no longer green;
at the shaky tables;
looking for meaning in life.

In the same space of reality,
other baby birds fall while learning to fly.
Footprints on narrow roads.
False hopes for happiness.
A proof that we are here.

We love each other even in our despair.
Hope one day to experience a new sense of life.
Passenger indifference.
A need to survive.
Learn this infinity to awaken.
