The Blueness Of Mediterranean Doors Poem by Denis Mair

The Blueness Of Mediterranean Doors

Rating: 5.0

(inspired by Abdelhaq Djellab's painting 'SIDI BOU SAÏD')
... ... ... ...

The local shade of blue jumps from a local door...

it dyes everything in a scene... even the shadows.

The scene jumps onto drawing paper by remaining motionless.

Blueness spreads into the shade under awnings and eyebrows...

it tinges any inverse colors that may soak through.

Blue's oneness celebrates the manyness of doors and windows.

The eye is washed clean by saturation of blue...

the habit of patience is instilled by architecture...

thus the innocence of the eye is prepared

for a riot of skin and earth tones outside the frame.
