The Crab And The Sun Poem by Aufie Zophy

The Crab And The Sun

Rating: 5.0

The shallow water
and the sand
were teasing my feet,
when I met
a mother and baby crab

Mother crab
seemed sleepy
and moved a bit
but baby was scared
and moved fast
before digging into the sand.

I looked up
to the skies above the sea
and a crab like cloud
hung with its purplish body
a few meter above the horizon

Its long feet
were all yellow and orange
embracing the soft blue skies
above my head.

The cloud was not scared
and sung softly
through the gentle waves
with a musical voice.

Slowly a red blushing sun
seemed to be hiding
its still sleepy eyes
behind a fine layer
of darker clouds
lining the horizon.

The feet of the crab cloud
had turned white
but its body assumed
almost entirely
the colors
of the awakening sun.

A poet is so observant of all that happens around him in Nature! On the sea strand you watch the mother and the baby crab... a very interesting image! In the sky too you see the projection of the crab in the clouds. As you continue to watch, you see red coloring the East and the waking sun slowly peeping out making the surroundings brighter! Enjoyed the depiction of Nature in its pristine beauty!
