The Crack In The Mirror Poem by keith brown

The Crack In The Mirror

Rating: 5.0

Children are like mirrors
Reflections of future and past
Voices raised in anger,
Build living images that last

until

the echoes of tomorrow
fall deaf on attention span
our gaggle
lost
too verbal abuse as
before the mirror we stand

rules

once made will be broken
by women child and man
yet
when led by Example and token
that’s when children
best understand

let ego frustration and anger
the crack in the mirror
fall through
for your children are just a reflection
of the things

that you say and you do.
