The Curse Poem by Anil Kumar Panda

The Curse

I have you within frame of time
Dancing with frock swollen
Around your slender waist;
There were mounds to be tapped
To make them bloom over heart;
I have seen you murmering
In sleep the name of your hero
Who looted you in the noon time
Of a sultry summer day on the
Haystack at your backyard and
You screamed like a fallen chick;
I have seen you stepping out
The door built with toiled money
To keep you tethered as a cow
In the hinges of iron will and custom;
I have seen you growing up a woman.
