The Curtain To Fall Poem by Mehta Hasmukh Amathaal

The Curtain To Fall

The curtain is about to fall
With beautiful days end call
I love to stretch the legs
And honestly beg

I have evening prayers
For summing up offers
What all I did in day time?
No more misses if I have to take it next time

It is my casual and compulsory work
I try to stand honest with each word
I need something more when reach home
There has to be someone to welcome

I have imagined figure
And I am dead sure
She will consent to proposal
I hope no dismissal

For me night brings some respite
There is no room to fight
Complete silence to converse
If something is said with gentle force

Let stars twinkle
Let night struggle
I shall still be able
And sleep well
