πŸ–€ The Damnation Of People Through Poetry πŸ–€

They hunger for the silvered, shining word,
As moths are drawn to flame, their wings unfurled;
Yet every line, a dagger's edge unseen,
Cuts deep into the tender soul, unclean.

They search for solace in the poet's rhyme,
But find instead the echo of their crimeβ€”
A yearning born of guilt they cannot name,
For beauty's song and sorrow sound the same.

The hearts they bare to words become the flame,
And burn with longing, cursed by beauty's claim.
For every phrase, a promise and a snare,
In seeking light, they breathe despairing air.

Through velvet verses, damning soft and sweet,
They find the chains they hoped would set them free,
And lose themselves in darkness, never whole,
Doomed by the words that whispered to their soul.
