The day you died, you took my heart
You left me many tears
I realized that day you are a part
Of my hopes and my cheers
Many will say how you turned out
Left naysayers with little doubt
Many will say
Many will say
She knew what she was all about
The day you died, you took my heart
Your boy and girl grew up
Reliving life for the most part
Under your loving cup
They're your biggest accomplishments
Despite their defying torment
They're your biggest
They're your biggest
Treasure, free and very content
The day you died, you took my heart
I now lament your death
For in life you were my spare part
I'll state till my last breath
You've given me so much to share
You taught me how to give and care
You've given me
You've given me
That feeling, I'm walking on air
(Part-2) The poem is a wonderful poem that shows your deep love for it.Thank you Samantha DeWitt for sharing such a beautiful poem.
It is such a touching poem - - written with pains in heart for the demise of a poetry contest on poetfreak. Our life is sumtotal of so many things- -our family, our friends and relatives, society, our job, our love, passion and so many -bits that affect us directly and indirectly. There are things we love to do, the things that give us a sense of worth are really valuable for us and we want to hold to them. This contest has been such a thing of immense value.(part-1) .
