The Debt of Sin

The debt of sin is verified
By grave stones everywhere
None can escape sins penalty
If they breathe at all earth's air
For man is appointed once to die
And after that the judgement
Wise are they who great their Maker
Having learned on earth discernment

To take the Bible at face value
Behold Him God the Son
To come to saving faith in Jesus
Before eternity has begun
To have that glad assurance
I know in whom I have believed
And then to top it off with praises
Because of the Salvation received

To take sins penalty in increments
Would be a bad enough ordeal
But to take the full brunt once for all
Is totally surreal
God was in Christ reconciling the world
Deity and humanity in tune
Beginning the initiation of the Holy Spirit
To indwell each believer soon

All the power in Heaven and earth
Contained by Christ our Lord
The Creator and, Redeemer and Friend
The Author and Finisher... The Word
Who has authority by His worth
To forgive men of their sin
And upon believing on His name
We can be born again!

Make my heart a willing vessel
To do Thy will O Lord
For You are not willing that any should perish
According to Thy Word
Please give me a desire for Repentance
That I might turn towards Thee
And put my faith in Jesus Christ
Who paid sins debt penalty
