The Devil Went To Bed Poem by David Darbyshire

The Devil Went To Bed

Rating: 5.0

It came with a flash,
the sound was deafening.
Felt like a whip-lash,
I didn't expect anything.

After the light subsided,
and the sound funneled out.
I felt much better,
now wondering what it is all about.

It seams the light came from God,
and the sound from Hell.
The Devil and God collided,
does this ring any bell?

I know the light won over,
and the Devil went to bed.
There's one thing I am going to do,
that's to stay good instead.

It is not always easy 'to stay good instead', but the will to stay so makes it worth trying, I will do so too..
