The End To Such A Beautiful Tree. Poem by Ace Of Black Hearts

The End To Such A Beautiful Tree.

Words are my weapons and the perfect poison.
Lie to me and you are gone.
Head games it never changes.
I don't have time for it.
Erase my scars, cold is my heart.
Forgetting it all from where it started.
Inviting a hurricane.
With all the rain, and wind.
Will you drown, or just get blown away?
I just can't say, but forgive me if I don't remember your name.
So impersonal.
Just a stranger looking through a glass.
You would never guess.
That we had any past.
Even a couple days.
I won't let you get any closer, the red flags burn bright.
When questions are being avoided, it's guilt by omission.
But not sure you even care.
But I do, it matters to me.
So I pour some gasoline and light the lonely dieing tree.
Watching glowing embers turn to ash.
I could never enjoy the destruction of something so beautiful.
But now it's gone, and I'm moving on.
