The First Day Of Autumn Poem by LeeAnn Azzopardi

The First Day Of Autumn

Rating: 5.0

The morning is filled with the summer's warmth
As the rain and golden leaves kept falling onto my head
The tears began to fall
But not, for summer's lost
I wept for a touch of yr lip against mine
While my heart is troubled with daily, useless things
I wanted to do is nothing, but to melt into a cafe
And dance into the twilight
For this day shall pass and hope will return
When you call and say: I'm home
