The Freedom One Poem by Mehta Hasmukh Amathaal

The god sent us on earth
To be free but with fear of death
To live with honor and style
The fact was to be realized meanwhile

As the human nature developed
It had sinister design for these things to be stopped
It suggested some sort of confinement
They brought them under control and stopped free movement

Mighty people formed group
The recruited some people and kept as troop
They were used to harass people
Collect some money and help in their struggle

With passage of time, it resulted into tyranny
The local people were fed up with spread o anarchy
In some places there was bloody revolution
The power came to an end with its devolution

The international bodies formed charter
It was to protect some of demands later
The freedom and liberty was the main factor
The European countries were main theaters

Freedom, liberty and independence
Pillar of system to work par at excellence
It has its own meaning and stand
We, as people, need to understand

Freedom has no meaning if voice is muffled
Whole of the system is made mockery and laughed
The democracy is only in name
And there is nothing to claim

In many countries still people face racism
Human violations are there to condemn
Many people are done to death and pushed in prisons
The dictators are there but not for giving any reasons

People have full right to live peacefully
The bloodshed must be stopped eventually
The world can no more tolerate domination
The nations must remain free with external relation


The united nation has role to play
To bring all countries under one sway
Provide humanitarian assistance in need
Peace charter to all who are recently freed

If moral values are not protected
If real basic is defied and neglected
Under such condition, it is proved useless
It has no powerful teeth to counter and face

The people must have freedom of expression
But that should not confine only to mention
No protest or regret to be aired with force
It will stand as joke and may look farce

Any society or group of people has choice
They can remind the law makers about provisions and promises
The stubbornness or insistence must be clearly seen
The value and respect for democracy should be the real scene

The arrogance and repression must be resisted
“Freedom of expression” means it should be rightly insisted
It is not untruth is projected by means of freedom
Such tactic is never appreciated and considered as wisdom
