The Give Poem by Randy McClave

The Give

I can plant a seed and it will become a flower
God has given man that great power,
Then I can give that flower to someone on the street
Then they could pass that beauty on to the next person they'd meet.
I can read a book and then share an amazing story
Then I can pass it on unto another for the pleasure and the joy,
Then they can tell others about the book that they had read
And then others will marvel at the wisdom they had said.
I can smile at a stranger with compassion and concern
And I will then receive a smile in return,
Then that stranger will smile at someone else new
Then soon the world will be smiling at both me and you.
With your gifts and treasures remember to pass them on
With your wisdom and compassion be the first to move the pawn,
These are indeed life's greatest exercises
When you give joy and happiness, love and joy become the prizes.
