The Guest

E-ighteenth day January breaks,
S-un has begun to ascend;
P-ouring rain Wednesday
I-s beginning to
E-nd.

H-ere comes the beacon,
I-n the morning light;
P-ure warmth is brought,
O-bliterating the night.
L-et the shadows disappear
I-nto the deepest darkness;
T-uesday twilight is gone,
O-pen the door for the guest.
