We were born naked,
With empty hands
And clenched fists.
In our life's journey,
We open our clenched fists
To gather everything,
Claim anything
Under the sun.
We have insatiable hunger
For success.
We want to gain material things
To the fullest.
Yet life is a fleeting journey,
Like a shooting star.
And death comes along.
The clenched fists
When we were born
Will open on its own,
Release all
What we had gathered,
Acquired and gained.
We will go to
Another journey,
Not having anything
To bring
Or to take away.

Lovely and insightful. Why do some place such importance upon acquiring wealth, when you can't take it with you?
Such an excellent message to share! .. Endless 10'S And Stars! ..++++++++++++++++++++++++++

This is an outstanding piece..... thanks a lot....Rose Marie....
