The Lament For Pink Cherry Divinity

Civilization has come to a cold standstill
you can't get divinity candy in any grocery store now
two decades or so ago they even stocked pink divinity
maybe flavored with amaretto
so I'm a little upsetto
what does the woken world know.
about candy.
now I think what a hand we're dealt
with the disappearance
of tuna cheese melts
raspberry zingers. the kind with cream filling.
isn't it chilling.
now I have the slightest inkling
who phased out my poetry twinkling
and I feel, I feel so at the end of my wish span
coming at last to understand
why my poems almost never get published
with or without pecans.
