The Late Bloomer Baby Boomer - 12 Poem by Richard Wlodarski

The Late Bloomer Baby Boomer - 12

The Late Bloomer Baby Boomer - 12

Thirteen years of schooled education has taken its toll
Only Wolfe had recognized my true genius and awarded me
The rest followed like sheep and led Lamb to slaughter
Almost forgetting that Lamb is now one with Wolfe and won't die
Fiercely fighting for survival Lamb reaches out to Wolfe
She is within the depths of my soul and now surfaces
Animus and anima intertwined with Freud and Jung
Psychology philosophy struggling to be free
Hesse and Steppenwolf mirroring my reality
Siddharta sitting contemplating the true meaning

Days turn into weeks...
And weeks into months...
And months into years...
