The Losers Poem by Lawrence S. Pertillar

The Losers

The losers choose,
To stay and remain confused.
Refuse truth to deny.
Self abuse and try,
Hopelessly to defy...
With a keeping to defend,
Kept delusions to protect them...
Against any attempts made,
To have truth offend...
Beliefs.
Taught and learned,
From the day they were born.
With it understood what's going on.
Regardless of the facts and evidence,
That...
Old beliefs kept to value,
Will only maintain sustained grief.
To practice and serve,
What they are told comes deserved.
And they pray for just 'that' to have witnessed.

'If it wasn't for bad luck,
I wouldn't have any luck at all.'

~And with such kept beliefs,
I'm sure your disappointments are few.~
