The Lovers Of Hydra
Let the birds fly
for the wire has been broken
Let them fly to the heavens
And send a message to them
As they waltz to the Greek Island
Of bohemian affection
Making love on the Mediterranean
While it gently wash the hurt
And kiss the past
Let the birds return to the repaired wire
For the lovers found each other
And are trying to make it last

Love birds are a special pair, one bonded with special care. They have the ultimate freedom of any animal yet must always take flight. There's a lot going on beneath this poem, escaping to freedom only to return to the routine of sitting on a wire.
Let the birds fly for the wire has been broken.. the very first verses attracted my attention. and at the end you made me peaceful when i read For the lovers found each other And are trying to make it last.. the broken wire is repaired. love this poem dear Lee Ann thank u so much. tony
