The Mad Grizzly, That Bit My Foot. Poem by Michael Gale

The Mad Grizzly, That Bit My Foot.

With large swiping mitts claws enacted...
Sharp white fangs, not retracted.

The huge Grizzly Bear on it's hind legs...
Towers over me easily, which inspires
me to fret as it watches me-begs.

I close my eyes and kneel in prayer...
When I open them, to witness, nothing there.

A close call, to all I swear...
This encounter, to I, it did so scare.

My guardian angel was close and over head...
To keep me from being hurt and dead.

I exhaled with feelings of relief....
Now my wife would not be a widow,
filled with grief.
