The Mirabeau Bridge Poem by Reva Kern

The Mirabeau Bridge

Beneath the Mirabeau Bridge flows the Seine
And our love
I must remember
Joy always follows pain.

The night comes, the hour arrives
The days go, I still survive.

Hand-in-hand standing side-by-side
While beneath our linked arms
Sharing lasting glances
A spent wave subsides.

The night comes, the hour arrives
The days go, I still survive.

Love like flowing water is relentless
Love is the same
Like Life is slow
And Hope is heartless.

The night comes, the hour arrives
The days go, I still survive.

Days and weeks pass by
Not time
Nor love return
Beneath the Mirabeau Bridge the Seine goes by.

The night comes, the hour arrives
The days go, I still survive.
