The Monarch Poem by D.N. Rebb

The Monarch

Rating: 5.0

Few orange and black monarchs
At play
Soaring over scenic parks

Directive, the nectar of
Milkweed
Flowers left starved, unloved

Sable-edged robes portray
King's throne
Royal coronation day

A magic-like migration
Down south
To Mexican horizon

One beautiful butterfly
Monarchs
Viceroy's mere mimicry
