Following the direction of the howling wind,
Guiding to meet that destiny.
Though the end has already been written.
Fearful exposed realism erupting while venturing too far from the marked path.
With passing years, resentment flows from the sadness that is left standing.
Arriving to yet another fake promise.
Standing alone amongst the smiling strong.
The weight of this truth burdens the pace of this journey.
Tiredly wishing for a pause in time.
Wanting to hide within the previously planned route.
This life did not come pre-planned.
Are they all waiting for their opportunity of escape?
Life is indeed a challenging journey, my friend. And you make it more rewarding with your poetry. May you have a positively challenging, and rewarding, journey throughout The New Year, Poet Rebb!

The writer of Ecclesiastes reflected on how contradictory life was. He didn't understand the ways of God and how He controls human destiny. We were all 'chasing the wind'.
