Like those days of ours,
The moon still rises…
And spreads its soft luster
Over the mountain tops,
On the lakes, forests, deserts,
Human homes and animal habitats.
Like those days of ours,
The young lovers of today too,
Forget their hours,
While they walk at the beach hand in hand
Bare footed, on the sand,
Marveling at the rolling, shimmering waves.
Even today when the moon is in full bloom,
I come out of my own cocoon,
Pull aside the window curtain
And look for your face beside the moon.
Once in a month on the full moon night,
I reserve some hours to search your light.
