'The Nippers Game' Poem by Hannah Davies

'The Nippers Game'

'The Nippers Game' put me through shame
The emotional abuse, you so frequently use.

You were the once who made all the decisions
If we didn't comply you kept us in, like prison.

You make out that you might love me
But you failed to protect and seem to loathe me.

You're in my dreams, you're in my thoughts
I WILL drag you through the courts.

Now I must stand up so tall
I can not let them see me fall.

You're able to twist things and make them seem right
But now I know, all what you said was in fright.

I wish I could turn the hands of time
Back to a place where all would be fine.

All I have left is a glimmer of hope
That you will be punished and I pray you can't cope!
