While the well-to-do audience were watching the scene by scene
This poor fellow holds the knotty string and whenever he hears the bell
He gets ready to raise or put down the velvet curtain.
Only in the tricky interval he gets a brief rest in his life-drama.
*Dedication to my poetess friend Sandra.Fowler for her good health.
You use the lively imagery of the theatre in order to make a strong ideological point - and you do it with style. I applaud the dedication to Sandra Fowler. She is a fine poetess and a radiant soul whose love of life and language is an inspiration to us all. I toast you both. love, Allie ♥ ♥ ♥ ♥

A fascinating poem picture as always. Very poignant. Thank you for the dedication. I am honored. Your caring thoughts are a solace to me, my Sri Lankan friend. Affectionately, Sandra
