The Passionate Rose. Poem by Charles M Moore

The Passionate Rose.

Rating: 5.0

Just one ray of light
and I'll almost be there
One more touch of rain
and I'll make it I swear
One more rush of air
and I'll sway in the breeze
And become the sweet rose
that I set out to be

And people will love me
and hold me in awe
My scent will attract
honey bees from afar
My blushing red petals
being so picturesque
will cause birds to sing
and prepare for the nest

So cradle me sun
in the warmth I adore
My budding face wishes
your light to explore
And summer rain glisten
my heart with your prose
And I will burst into
the passionate rose.
