The Path Of Love Poem by Ayman Parray

The Path Of Love

Rating: 5.0

The lovers played hide and seek merrily
The two of them would meet daily
Then came the night and yet so bright
For no darkness can dim love's light
The lovers they danced under the moonlight

Then seasons changed they had to part
They would only be in each others hearts
The path of love is not an easy one
Separation they could no longer bear
And cried for patience they had none

All they now had was a dwindling hope
Separated now they held on to that rope
She had sailed with her kin to unknown lands
With the promise next summer she would return
He waited with his heart held in his hands

Seasons changed and came summer
But there was no news of her
In search of her, he went port to port
He looked everywhere, he asked everyone
He went from the king's castle to the frontier fort

He wandered through mountains and valleys
He wandered through oceans and seas
For years he wandered through deserts aimlessly
He ended up waiting on their meeting spot
He waited and waited till he died patiently

Separation they could no longer bear And cried for patience they had none ..................punctuation could make a (big?) difference in how these two lines are interpreted......at least by bri [that's ME! ]. you could put a comma after cried, or a period after patience. i especially am enjoying these lines: Then came the night and yet so bright For no darkness can dim love's light and All they now had was a dwindling hope Separated now they held on to that rope - - - - - - - - - - - - an interesting, entertaining rhyme scheme - - - - - - - - - - - - - - well, at least he ended up being patient! i wonder what happened to her. no, i don't think she became one of my multitudinous wives! ! ! an interesting story to be sure. thanks for sharing. bri :)

A tale about never giving up on a love. A man and woman fall in love but are forced apart when the woman's family sails her away someplace unknown, but before she is taken they make a pact to meet again in a years time. Come the next year the woman is nowhere to be found. The man searches for her far and wide to no avail. Finally he just waits in the designated meeting spot hoping the woman will one day return. But she does not. The man dies before ever being reunited with his love. A very interesting and well described write. The rhymes were concise and never forced, and the story flows logically and elaborately. One tidbit I noticed on my second time reading was that the man dies patiently after in the second stanza crying for patience but having none. All his searching and waiting had earned him at least that.

Lovers wonderfully make meeting of night and bright day. Waiting on spot with patience matters a lot. Wandering through mountains and valleys lovers finally find love. Very interesting and wise sharing.10
